  2. David, I sometimes use terms without being exactly sure I'm using them correctly----especially because Zentangle-speak is a relatively new language for me, but when I saw your tile, the word "organic" popped into my head. I feel that your "branches" have enough dimension and texture that I could just pick one up. In my mind, the "spines" are soft----but I realize that you might not even have been thinking of them as having a "feel". Maybe it' too late at night for me to be doing this. The next thing you know, I'll be seeing unicorns. ;-) Nice work.

  7. A lovely flow and composition and the Athitzi works well as both a tangle and a shading. I don't recognize any of the tangles, but one of them was done by David Hunter...do we get a step out? Lovely work as always.

  9. wow. Just...wow. This is so good, on so many levels! I love how you've given it so much dimension by aura'ing and layering around things. And...no color? Hmmm.

  10. There is a Step-Out to my Linq-um pattern on this blog. Click on "My Tangle Patterns" in the Menu bar at the top of the Home Page. So far there is only one Pattern listed. I'm working on a couple more patterns that will be posted in the near future.

Linq-um is a last step in a design, as it is linking auras around other patterns.

  13. Your tile became a beautiful jungle with lots of embracement. I do like the presentation of the organic elements as if they were cut out of paper and glued to a new paper. It looks great.

  15. Okay Dave, I just had to laugh when you said you had done your first Zendala this weekend too!!! I'll tell you why,........! You and I must be on the same wave length of thinking, right now. Last week, we both drew suns, for our entry. This week we both have a wispy mooka spiral with Athitzi, and we both worked on our very first Zendalas this weekend!!! Creepy, cool, isn't it? I always find those kind of cosmic things, just really bizarre and cool!! Anyhow I just thought i had to share that real quick, after I saw your message and your post! You are always so good at taking the time to leave messages! Thank you so much. I try, but life with three little ones doesn't always allow me the energy! Your tiles are just gorgeous, lately too!!! I just love the organic freedom in this one!!! You have a great week and we'll see what next week unfolds! ;0) Annette

  16. Wonderful how you used this tangle. It really has a nice flow to it as is curls around the tile. Full, but calming is how I would describe this composition.

  22. Great tile., Like the organic flow. Reminds me of a forest in a children's book where you know if they venture in something is going to happen. Nice job shading to set things off.

  23. David, your tile is flawless. When I first looked at it, the first thing that came to my mind was tooled leather. The shapes and the way that you used the Athitzi just reminded me of some of the tools that my son has. It has a very unique and distinctive look to it. I always look to your tiles as an inspiration. Beautiful work
