    1. Thanks for the comment, Kate. The Blue Fade background was at the suggestion of my Granddaughter, another Kate, whom we call Kattie. She is an awesome Artist in her own right.

  2. Wow, what a great piece. Your coloring technique is awesome. The blue looks like the ocean on a tropical beach with lots and lots of Sun. The grid tangles look great, and not so straight but very playful. Just love it....:)

    1. Thanks for your comments. My Granddaughter is already an impeccable portrait artist. Self taught, and only 18 years old.

    2. Your granddaughter sounds like mine. She's a senior in HS and her art is amazing, also self taught. She's had a pencil in her hand for as long as I can remember!

  4. I love the shading with the blue as it really adds depth to the shape, and the other color accents work well with the blue. I also really like the double frame around the whole piece.

    Give her my compliments please.

  9. It really is a great piece, very fun to look at. Since everyone else has (correctly) praised the blue wash, I want to speak up in praise of the green tangle in the corner. Is that Si-Weed? The muted tones in the rest of the piece are also a great touch.

    1. Thanks, Jennifer. Si Weed was used on the far left edge. The Green Tangle on the right edge is currently un-named to me. I think it is an undocumented participant with a dubious pedigree.

  10. Very nice contrast between the black and white part and the coloured part.

  11. I too love how you have restricted the colour to one main area, it really leaps out at you. Have never used drip-drop but you've made it look like a go-to tangle for me! Linda

  14. I'm like everyone else and in awe of the blue shading! I also really like how all of the tangles go so well with each other. What are the little "sun bursts" called in the corners?

    1. Thanks for the comments, Joey. If you are referring to the left and right lower corners, those were just creative fills with no names as far as I know.

  19. Would echo the comments about the gradations of the blue. I like the red drops. They remind me of pendants.

    1. As Paul Harvey used to say, "...and now for the rest of the story." Thanks so much for the clarification. I would have loved to have heard your Key Note presentation. I would have loved to have been there getting certified, but the classes fill up before I even know the Class Dates. Thanks for everything you do. And you do a lot, for after all, "You are the Diva." Love ya.
