First Post....Starting Blog from Scratch

No. 1 post.

It's 8:08 am, on a Friday morning, in Salt Lake City. Cloudy and cool. A good combination. Sounds of children heading to the elementary school just down the street. It has been a long time since I was in that crowd, but I remember when I was. I wish I knew where those kids were now.

This blog is going to be very informal. Just so you'll know why you're getting bored to tears. They say that everyone has a story. I have no story, just an abbreviated blurb. 'He came, was briefly tolerated, retired into anonymity." That wraps it all up. If there were enough there for more than this tiny little blurb, something might congeal into the worlds shortest word amalgamation and forgettable waste of paper.

So, how does this posting of information work. Starting from scratch, it is going to be a bit sketchy at the start, with leanings towards the disastrous predominating.

First off it would be good to get this business of posting images figured out. That is going to be the main objective of this blog.

I was introduced to the art of Tangling in Mid April of this year. Wow, a whole 38 days ago. Awesome activity. So awesome, I've started this blog. Thanks to Rick Richards and Maria Thomas for the mammoth efforts they have put into making the art form of ZenTangles available to all of us. When your hooked, you've got an art form that you can make all your own. "Yes, it is fascinating, Mr. Spock."

Here is a recent Tangle I drew. ("What do ya mean, all of my Tangles are recent.") Now to figure out how to get it embedded here.

Well, that went well. This Tangle features Patterns, "Verdigogh" by Maria Thomas, and "Snugs" by Terri Brown. This was drawn within the 3 1/2" by 3 1/2" "Tile" size. Two of these tiles fit nicely on one page of my sketch book. Speaking of "Sketch Books," they are awesome by the way, I am using a Cranson "Basic" Sketch Book 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", purchased on December 26, 2006. From then until Mid April, I had drawn on may be 22 pages of this book. Since Tangling tapped me on the shoulder, and infiltrated my every thought, I have burned my way through over half of this book. All good stuff.

If there is a second post, it will be a surprise to me as well as you.

Bye, for now.
